sculptural textile - mixed media on cradled birch

Pick Up Your Feet: inspired by a rug constantly displaced beneath the rushing feet of children, a repetitive frustration transformed into a tender reflection of movement, family, and presence.

Grounded in a soft neutral palette, this piece is layered with freshwater pearls, Austrian crystals, semi-precious stones, and glass that interact gently with shifting light, revealing subtle colors throughout the day. The central focus of the piece is a sculptural textile created from the actual rug that inspired the work, preserving both its physical history and emotional significance. Blue elements individually placed throughout the work serve as an ode to the rug’s original blue color, transforming a mundane object marked by frustration into something luminous, and enduring.
